Laser cutter broken and fixed

I stopped by the Idea Foundry this weekend to use the laser cutter and it was down for repairs. It died during the safety and orientation class with a “Position Error!” on the LCD. Paul R. tried cleaning it and didn’t immediately find the problem, but a further cleaning got it back up and running. I didn’t get details but it was most likely dust or gunk on the optical shaft encoder for one of the axes. Either way, it’s good to have the laser up and running again.
